OMG!! I've been waiting to go here but every time we are in Prescott there's a huge wait. Finally got it!! Definitely worth the wait. Fabulous food and drink! Love love love! Great atmosphere.

They have a great menu, with lots of entree choices along with many tapas plates. Our dinners were excellent. Service was quick and very friendly. It's a very small restaurant with most seating in an enclosed and heated area outside. They have live music sometimes and tonight it was a bit too loud. Prices are reasonable.

AWESOME! AWESOME! Our waiter was the greatest! A youngster with gray hair like ours!! Patient, courteous, and fun.. food best ever! Can't wait to go back, but we live in Colorado! Prices perfect! Lots of food per servings...

Make a reservation. This place is popular and the food is great. Tapas portions are generous.

Nice small plates restuarant with varied selection of high class cuisine. The nachos were delightful as was the ganache. Suggest calling ahead as they seem to be busy often.

WOW, worth the wait. Small Cute place with GREAT FOOD. We went with a friend for tapas that turned into more. The sangria my wife had was too notch.

Highly recommend this restaurant when visiting Prescott. Great patio area anytime of the the year. El Gato Azul is known for their Tapas. They also have daily specials, sandwiches, vegetarian selections, salads and entree’s. Santa Fe Shrimp is one of my favorite tapas on the menu!

Our absolute favorite tapas restaurant obviously the world! Wonderful variety and amazing, flavorful sauces. Service is great but make reservations.

Make a reservation! This place gets extremely busy because of how wonderful it is, so even on weeknights I highly recommend calling ahead. I've been dining at restaurants owned by Barry for over a decade. El Gato Azul is no exception to high quality of food, music, service, and ambiance that Barry has a magical touch for creating. He has kept me coming back over the years with a menu that's always evolving with new culinary delights.

Food wonderful, atmosphere wonderful, service impeccable. Would recommend for any locals or anyone visiting our wonderful town of Prescott. Shout out to Maurice our server. He was amazing.

This was a great little place. We ordered 5 tapas (small plates) for 2 people and it was plenty of food. Being able to try multiple things they had was definitely a benefit, opposed to just trying two things. Everything was tasty and very good. We will definitely go back to this place in the future

Lots of selections on the menu, everyone can find at least a few things that they will like. The variety is fantastic and great quality too.

Nice little place. I Was told by a neighbor about this restaurant and I'm glad I went. Food was really good. Dishes are priced really well and service was on point.

The waitress Jordan was amazing. Very friendly and relaxed despite a full house. She sold me on the salmon Pablo special which was phenomenal. She explained the tapas, which the parmesan crisp was amazing. She was so good, gave her a huge tip. Goin back for her section.

Susan I enjoy the atmosphere at El Gato Azul. We had the seafood pain. Which is a whole bunch of good seafood + pain noodles. Everything was delicious. The service was great. And we enjoyed it thoroughly.

Really nice assortment of tapas, and super friendly staff. Highly recommended but make a reservation! It's always quite busy.

We heard the food was great but never got the chance to try it. Not even the water. We sat for over 15 minutes without anyone coming to say hi. Other tables were getting served, but we were the cheese, who has to stand alone. Even a request to the nice host who let us pick our table did not get us a server or a glass of water.

Light to hungry food for every taste! In our visit we had Cajun, Indian, Spanish, and hearty. Take a party, no one will leave unsatisfied, and the adventurer will be challenged.

Love the concept...tapas galore! Omg...it was so hard to choose but we did & our tastebuds were not disappointed. There were 4 of us, we each ordered a couple tapas each to share. Some of the tapas we ordered include the Santa Fe shrimp, fried artichokes, chorizo meatballs, spinach and artichoke dip, and a prosciutto flatbread special...we were absolutely stuffed...oh and I got a cheesecake to go (also very yummy). Not only was the food wonderful but the prices were reasonable as well. Our server was nice and knowledgeable & the ambience was perfect. We did make reservations and glad we did, the place was packed! Definitely looking forward to going back again sometime.

We have only eaten here one time. I start there because so many reviews indicate that this is a terrific dining experience and I want to preface that perhaps ours was an off night. We made a reservation but still had to wait an additional twenty five minutes. Once we we were seated we waited another ten minutes for service, which was instigated not by a server, but by the hostess who caught the eye of one of us at the table. Food came out individually to the point that one of us didn't have any food for a time, even though the table seated after us was served first. The whole time what I think was the manager was singing with the band and not looking after the customers???My food was okay but the rest of the table loved the food. I high point for them was the artichoke hearts.

Awesome service! Best food in town definitely! Price is definitely reasonable for the food and service. Cute little outdoor seating.

Charming patio and tapas are well made. If you are looking for meatless options they have several. The parmesan crisps were flavorful and had the right amount of crispy parmesan and mushroom, with a hint of garlic olive oil. The chorizo was also tender and spicy, as well as the crispy Verde chicken. A great place to wind down.

The atmosphere is wonderful. The staff courteous and pleasant. The food creative and delicious. I plan to return and try many different dishes!

The ambiance of this very small, mostly outdoor restaurant is cozy and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. A variety of menu items, our food brought to our table was delicious and looked delicious. We enjoyed our meal and time there and would love to go back there.

El Gato is my favorite restaurant in AZ. It is the one place I take every visitor. The food is unique and alway delicious. I recommend it to EVERYONE ❣️

Finally we found a fabulous restaurant in Prescott!!!! Stopped here Friday on our way to Williams, AZ for lunch and we were very pleasantly surprised not only by the food, but the atmosphere and setting are amazing! We loved it so much we just ate lunch here again today on our way back and were equally pleased. Must haves are the coconut shrimp, sticky chicken, crab cakes and fried artichokes. These are all tapas dishes and we haven't even gotten around to main dishes yet. The fig and goat cheese tapas is excellent also. We look forward to coming back to Prescott to eat here again.....

What's not to love? I spend a fair amount of time here when I'm in town, so let's discuss what keeps me coming back. First off, the menu and food choices offer something for everyone. Fresh ingredients prepared in creative ways, with outstanding presentation and a delight to the palette. They have indoor and outdoor seating with the outdoor covered and heated during the winter months. Everyone here is very friendly, and you will never enter this establishment without being personally greeted by staff or the owner. The owner spends a lot of time in the kitchen, and the quality control is spot on. Taste, temperature and presentation are all outstanding! Ask for Stephanie when you come. Best waitress ever!

What a great place!! Choose 3 tapas and every one was fabulous!! Service, everything GREAT!!

UNBELIEVABLE FOOD! GREAT ATMOSPHERE! I NEED TO TRY EVERYTHING! First photo is the “smokin granny quesadilla” with grilled chicken, granny smith apples, jezebel sauce, spinach, smoked gouda, cilantro and onions. Incredible creation! A must try! Followed by Crème brûlée as good as the cruise ships offer!!! Third photo is the “island pork bruschetta” with mango vinaigrette. Amazing!Fourth photo is Fig infused Cheesecake. Wish I lived here so I could come every week!!! Anytime i am remotely near i must stop in. Especially in the summer when you can sit in the outdoor section right by the creek. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 winter the outdoor area is seal in and warm so no excuse not to eat here every day if you can!

Love this place! Lots of delicious tapas. I am gluten free & dairy free and they have worked with me to provide things I can eat. Do wish they had a few more GF, dairy free options in their tapas, but happy to find some.

Fun! And the food! I expect tapas to be small such that maybe five dishes make a meal, but here you need two, maybe only one. Good and creative variety, with refreshingly high quality ingredients. Service was almost overwhelming, plenty of staff and they keep their eyes on the tables to make sure you aren't neglected. The entrees are every bit as good as the tapas. Don’t miss the warm goat cheese! Public parking structure very nearby, but also decent street parking. Good place for fun with friends.

Delicious small plates. The black bean cakes were yummy and moist. The fried green tomatoes were sliced thick, juicy and tart and topped with sauce and crispy capers. Great service too.

This is my new favorite restaurant in Prescott. We ordered the salmon pizza tapas, and I thought it sounded like it would taste ridiculous at best, but it was awesome and I wanted to lick the plate! Plus all the other dishes we ordered were awesome too. Cool atmosphere.

The food is always very good here especially if you go with the tapas. I have a sensitive stomach so but dinners tend to be a little too greasy or too much oil. Great specialty drinks and I'm so glad they're serving the food on plates instead of those ridiculous martini glasses.

Pros:Food is out of this world! Absolutely Fantastic!We had the parmesan mussels, smoked salmon pizza, and mushroom duxelle. I would order some extra bread for the duxelles you get a good portion. Cons:We ordered the hummus and a couple times the wait staff would walk by and say "that hummus is on its way" and then the hummus never arrived :(

During our weekend visit to Prescott, El Gato Azul was recommended to us by a local bartender. The tapas and drinks were incredible. Our server was very helpful, kind, and efficient. We ordered four tapas and a dessert. Our favorite of the four tapas was definitely the Beef & Bleu Tacos. We arrived about five minutes after they opened and got a seat outside. I would highly recommend doing the same or calling ahead, if they take reservations (not sure if they do).

Wonderful tapas menu. Had seven plates between the two of us. Somehow the flavors didn't quite live up to expectations, but not bad. Our waiter seemed to be to busy to get to us and finally asked another to take the table. Would go back.

Amazing as always had the beef and bleu tacos and Cajun corn dogs which were actually shrimp 🍤!!!! Love the ambiance and my Papa loved it holy moly!!!! Even loved the fresh coffee that’s a biggee!!! Thanks Gato you never disappoint 💋🔥🔥🔥🔥

Great place for reasonably priced, beautifully presented food enjoyed with the quality of music expected in a much larger city. What a treat to have a small town atmosphere with big city flair!

Really great place. Busy, attractive and fun. Food is delicious. Service is efficient and friendly. Menu is large, offers lots of options for all kinds of diets and tastes. One of my favorite places in Prescott.

This was our 2nd time visiting El Gato Azul. It's a great family owned business. Very welcoming atmosphere. The sangria is wonderful and refreshing. The food is so flavorful and fresh.There is only one thing that would make it better - more gluten and dairy free options.

Fun environment, good food & nice staff but the waiter didn’t know the correct things that came on what I ordered so I had to send it back and wait even longer when I was very hungry. The waitress at the next table did the exact same thing for the same thing ordered. My mother was done eating by the time I got my food. I know they had good intentions, just hope they work on asking the kitchen if they don’t know before telling guests instead of making it up. Other than that, great jazz music & food. Friendly people.

How disappointing...after reading great reviews, we decided to try it out tonight. Place was busy, and tables were crammed in there. We were seated in an isle seat right next to the check in station...not good. Ordered drinks and an appetizer...after 30 minutes still no appetizer. Asked Riley our server about it, and he told us he’d check on it. Brought it to us barely warm. The salads and dinner followed way too fast. Dinners were average at best. This place needs to be better organized...employees need to be better trained in customer service. For the price, I can’t recommend.
